Jake

As I take and edit pictures of my own boys it doesn’t take much reminiscing to remember the other little boy that was in my life. I was 13 when my little brother was born, so I can vividly remember everything about him right from the get-go. BUT…he’s not so little anymore! He is now taller than I am (and I am not a small person) and has bigger hands and feet.

When we went home for Thanksgiving recently I headed out with Mom and Jake to take advantage of the great fall colours.

No colour in this one…but it is one of my favorites of him.

I haven’t had the opportunity to spend a lot of time taking pictures of anyone but my immediate family in a while. So when everything worked out perfectly (weather included) to get together with a friend and her daughter for a few fall shots, I was pretty excited. We had a great time, which included a bit of dumpster climbing and laying on the ground with my little Miss in the sling trying to get good angles. We also had my boys along for the fun, so in all it was a pretty big group of us!

Here’s a little peak…

And here is Quinn with his twin (from another mother…lol) S. Although there is 18 months difference between them, they could easily be twins. Miss S definitely rules the relationship though!

When you find out that you are pregnant it seems like it will be an eternity until they are born…but for me, this third pregnancy flew by. Most of the time we were so busy that I would forget that I was even pregnant. For a final pregnancy it was great.

On September 2nd the pregnancy came to a natural end and Aubrey Elizabeth joined our family. There were a few complications with the delivery and the recovery, leaving me stuck in the hospital a little longer than my over-planning personality wanted. But from that we ended up with a perfect little girl. She has such a relaxed personality and a squishy little face. She may be destined to follow in Hudson’s chubby little footsteps, as she is a big eater and regained her birth weight by week 2. Now at week 3 she is a pound over birth weight and a whole inch taller!

As much as I absolutely love the cuddly, newborn stage, I really can’t wait to see the little person she grows into.

Beary Cute

The super cute hat was made by Michelle

Six Days old…

Introducing...

…enough said

Just because….he is so cute…even though he hardly ever gives me a normal face…lol. But it wouldn’t be Huddy if he was posing and not growling!

The countdown is on here….less than 3 weeks to go til we meet our newest family member….so much to do, so little time!

Monster!

This past July I got the pleasure of shooting and attending Amber and Trevor’s wedding. It was a sketchy day for weather, but somehow the rain disappeared just in time for the ceremony and it turned out beautifully. Here are a few detail shots of the moments leading up to the big event.

Amber was watching the rain fall on the skylight…

I have been busy in the background around here, trying to organize my life and get ready for the arrival of Monster #3. Part of that is getting through all my outstanding projects. Miss S is one of those and I just had to share these ones because she is so cute!

And I may be a bit strange….lol…but this next shot is one of my recent favorites. I just love details…

Old & New

Yup, that is us, traveling fools! The boys and I are doing our last trip before the baby arrives (other than day trips to visit friends and family). I promised my Doctor that I would rest in the month of August…lol. We have filled the last few days with car races, parades, candy, a wedding, rides, musical shows, etc. and today might include another rodeo, but we’ll see how tired I am…lol

Here are a couple of shots from our latest adventure…

I am so happy with this one because I RARELY get shots of Hudson where he isn’t giving me a weird face.

And here is Quinn….really enjoying some candy from the Candy Bar at the wedding we were at last night (sneak peaks of that to come soon!).

These sneak peaks have been long over due! After such a fun maternity session a year ago, it only made sense to head back to the same location for a quick one year session. Sorry this is taking me so long Court! There are more great shots to come….as soon as my feet stay at home!

In other news….. State of Grace Photography will not be taking any new clients for the rest of the summer. Life with two preschoolers, a work-away husband, a pregnant tummy and way too much traveling has left me with no time or energy to devote to my business. After life settles down….or so I hope!…. a new site, new ideas and new energy will also be on the way and I will announce our re-opening.

Thanks to those who still check in here and see what is up with the business and with our family! I will still be updating the blog with info on what is going on around here. Stay tuned at the end of August, as I should have some great newborn shots of our little miss!
